It is often said that a Man’s identity is tied to the language he speaks. Through pronunciations, accents and dictions, you can pick out a Briton from an American, a Ghanaian from a Nigerian. Languages help to tie us to a Culture, a People, a Home; a means of identification. 

However, the quest for a better life, better opportunities and explorations have led us to leave the continent of our ancestry. These quests have led us to seek home elsewhere. Now, our Identity is tied to two roots; a home we look like and the home we speak like. Yet, even though we speak like the home we’ve found, there is a need to identify with the home we look like through language. 

To truly find ourselves, is to speak the language of our ancestry. A language we not only speak, but one that embodies our roots. At Karibani, we understand these embodiments.
